philosophy
Lead the Way ABA, LLC takes an individualized approach with an effort to meet the child where they are and tailor their program to focus on their core deficits and strengths.
With a collaborative approach we work with caregivers, schools and other providers to ensure consistent programming and continued growth. We believe that consistency increases the rate of learning.
Most of all, we believe that every child with autism and related disorders deserve the chance to thrive.
method
All of Lead the Way’s behavioral assessment and intervention strategies are derived from the blending of methodologies that are consistent with an applied behavior analysis (ABA) model and are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
ABA focuses on decreasing problem behaviors and teaching new skills by using reinforcement and other strategies such as environmental modification.
All interventions are applied in an integrated and individualized manner to achieve the goal of formulating the safest, least restrictive, and most effective intervention for each individual. These may include some or all of the following methods:
Naturalistic Teaching – An evidenced-based method that involves creating an environment in which your child’s interests are naturally cultivated and nurtured by following the child’s lead, allowing one to capture an initiation in a natural environment.
Discrete Trail Training (DTT) – A method often used within ABA and one part of a complete program to help increase motivation and learning through short and manageable trials to maximize success.

tools
We take the time to get to know your child and find out what best motivates them to learn, and then use that as positive reinforcement to bring out the behaviors we’d like to see and provide constructive alternatives to the ones we don’t. Our treatment plan is completely tailored to your child’s specific needs and your family’s goals
